Western Pennsylvania Wedding at The Atrium : Mark & Laura
First off let's clear the air...I haven't blogged since February 2017, but it's a new wedding season and here we are! Now that that's off my chest, I am happy to share my first wedding of the 2018 season with you!
When I met Mark and Laura last fall at Moraine State Park for their engagement session, I knew right away that they were going to be a fun couple. I mean they brought their two dogs to include in the photos, so it was pretty obvious we were going to get along.
Their wedding day did not disappoint. They each got ready at separate locations, both were family member's homes. It was intimate and totally candid which creates more opportunities for those unique moments.
The wedding itself took place at St. Wendelin Church which had beautiful natural light and a cozy feel about it. Laura's family are cryers...which meant I was too. It was so emotional watching Laura's dad see her for the first time, and then again as he walked her down the isle. That doesn't mean there wasn't a lot of laughter too. Mark really likes to joke around...and so did his groomsmen. For every happy tear there was a happy smile to go with it.
For the reception they headed to The Atrium. I was once a caterer there, so it's sorta a special place for me when I shoot a wedding there instead. I love the grounds and of course the large indoor/outdoor atrium area. We had way too much fun photographing the wedding party, continued with Laura and Mark. He only tried licking her face about a hundred times.
The reception was tons of fun and the guests really made JP (my fiance and 2nd shooter) and I feel welcome. You know you've worked with an amazing couple when their wedding party doesn't want you to leave!
The day was seriously filled with so much laughter and tears...it's so heart warming to know that a love like theirs still exists. Here's to the many years that lay ahead for this hilarious and kind couple!
