Amanda+Michael | PA Wooded Park Micro-Wedding

June tends to be a fully booked month for weddings in Western PA. Last year I shot six...this year all but one postponed. Amanda and Michael were set on keeping their original date, even if it meant saving their reception party at The White Barn until November.

Amanda from Pennsylvania and Michael from Michigan. They met in the middle, during freshman year while at college in Charlotte, North Carolina. What started as friends living across the hall from one another eventually grew into more. Inseparable ever since their first date at the Cheesecake Factory!

Amanda and Michael got engaged in the summer of 2017 while on a family vacation in Tennessee. While there they took a day to go hiking to Lover's Leap. It's a gorgeous lookout at the top of the mountain where you can view seven different states at once. Amidst this natural wonder, Michael proposed!

On June 6th, they returned to their roots by inviting close friends and family to their intimate ceremony in the woods of Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve. Officiated by her sister, the words spoken were heartfelt and so sweet. We spent the remaining time strolling the grounds and soaking up the golden hour light, before Amanda and Michael headed back home for a backyard dinner and bonfire.

Keeping their original date made for a relaxed and sentimental day, perfect for their laid back loving nature. And once November hits, the party is on! Congrats you guys!!
